Total quality management
Controtek treats total quality management as the most critical activity in its manufacturing unit. Quality management starts at the design stage, not at final inspection.
Our quality steps
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Design | Designs conform to API, BS, DIN, JIS and GOST requirements, with Controtek’s own additional safety factors to extend valve life and protect the workforce. |
| Vendor approval | All foundries, forging shops and other vendors are audited by Controtek engineers before approval, to secure quality raw material and on-time delivery. |
| Material inspection | Castings, forgings and wrought steel are inspected to ASTM requirements at source. |
| NDT & DT | All castings and forgings undergo non-destructive and destructive testing to the respective material standard. |
| Pressure testing | Hydraulic and pneumatic tests are carried out to the respective valve standard – API 598 or BS 6755 for globe valves. |
| Certification | All supplies are accompanied by test certificates to EN 10204 type 3.1 or 3.2. |
Inspection by customers and third parties
Customer and third-party inspection agencies are welcome at the Ahmedabad works. Additional NDT – radiography, dye penetrant, ultrasonic or magnetic particle – can be added as required by your specification.
Certification
Controtek describes itself as an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation.
